MFA is an authentication method that requires users to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to a resource or an online service, such as resetting or changing the FH or Microsoft account password.
Important: After the first login, you will be prompted to provide a private email address or phone number. This step can be skipped for the first 14 days but becomes mandatory afterward.
Here is an overview of your Microsoft account (log in using your FH credentials). The management of different MFA methods can be found under security information. If you change your private smartphone (new device or similar), it is recommended to remove the "old" mobile device as an authentication method in advance.
Otherwise, authentication requests via the Authenticator app may still be sent to the old smartphone instead of the new device. If the Authenticator app is the only stored authentication method, you could lock yourself out of your account for future authentication attempts.
If this situation occurs, please contact IT support.
